The 2010 annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), its 176th meeting, was held February 18-22, 2010 in San Diego, California - an ideal location weather-wise. Its theme was: "Bridging science and society." The AAAS continues to meet mid-winter (lately over the Presidents' Day weekend each February); indeed the 2011 meeting will be held in Washington, DC (February 17-21, 2011) under the theme, "Science without borders."
