The Fashion World has taken to 'new media' in a big way and the luxury goods sector has followed it. Burberry now design their stores to look like their website while Vanessa Friedman, the Fashion Editor of the Financial Times, is writing explanations about the role played by Fashion Shows now that so many are streamed live, broadcast on Pinterest and Instagram and so openly discussed online. While some business to business sectors, such as our own leather industry, have not yet found value in giving time and attention to social media our customers are all heavily involved. Brands, retailers and producers are deeply engaged in conversations with their customers via social media.
