12% increase in imports of footwear

During the first half of 2013 imports of footwear increased by 12 million pairs in comparison to the same period of 2012 at a stabilised average price of 9.95 Euros. China accounts for 60% of imports in volume (149.8 million pairs) and 29% in value. 47.5 million pairs are imported from other European countries (19% of imports and 44% of the total value of imports).
