Technological Redemption through Sound: An Auditory Journey through Dante's Inferno

These lines penned by Dante Alighieri echoed my own feelings toward technology as I approached a new school year. As a teacher of laptop courses in world literature and American literature, and as the new video production instructor, I was burned out on Movie Maker files that wouldn't save correctly, PowerPoint projects rife with spelling and grammatical errors, and the pressure to "do something creative" to maintain a ubiquitous technological presence in my 21st-century classroom.
