In describing what we learned from Peter Drucker, it's automatic to assume that our relationship fit traditional teacher-student stereotypes. However, while we may have been typical students, Peter Drucker was most definitely not a typical teacher.rnAs a team, our relationship with Peter began to gather momentum in early 1993. (Harris by this time was already a lifelong Drucker protege. In fact, he was the one who had persuaded Peter to move west from NYU to become distinguished professor at Claremont Graduate School.) Wynett, having been assigned to restart P&G's long-dormant Corporate New Ventures program, teamed with Harris to bring Peter in to gather up a few how-to tips on innovation.
