"You know, a guy gets kicked out of his house and can't see his kids, and he's got guns," said Sheriff Carl Gotwald of Jefferson Co., Penn., referring to domestic relations cases at the courthouse he serves. A suburban Pittsburgh police chief expressed another worry: "There are police stations in the Pittsburgh area that have bullet marks out front....We have custody exchanges in our parking lot. Who knows when they are going to go bad?"
