Brazilian teiecoms operator Oi (Telemar) has launched mobile operations in the Sao Paulo metropolitan area, five days earlier than it had originally planned, BNamericas reports, citing a company statement. The operator initiated a client preregistration at the start of this month, selling more than 700,000 SIM cards by October 17, and this prompted it to bring forward its full launch from October 24 to October 19.
