Peruvian telecommunications regulator Osiptel has fined $1.39 million on Telefonica del Peru SA (TDP.VL) for breaching several regulatory norms.rnThe regulatory agency said that the company has been found guilty of violating the rights of its rival, AT&T Peru, in which Telmex del Peru owns a majority stake. The legal actions had been initiated in June 2009 and by July 2002, it was established that Telefonica had been involved in six violations, including jeopardizing AT&T's interconnection to the long-distance network of Telefonica del Peru.
