Telefonica to spend $2.77 billion in Brazil

Spain-based telecom service provider Telefonica announced that it is planning to spend $2.77 billion in the Brazilian market this year to boost its mobile as well as landline services. Telefonica's head of Latin American operations, Jose Maria Alvarez Pallete, said in a recent interview that the telecom operator has spent $110 billion so far in the Latin American region since its entry in the 1990s.
