Colombia's Communication Regulation Commission (CRC) has introduced additional measures to combat mobile phone theft as part of an ongoing campaign in partnership with the government, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and law enforcement authorities. Under the new measures, operators will make checks on subscribers that use their SIM in a different device, to ensure that the equipment has been registered.
