Telefonica finalizes sale of 9 data centers to Asterion for EUR 472 million

Telefonica has completed the transfer of nine of its data centers located in six countries to a company controlled by investment fund Asterion for a total of EUR 472 million. The data centers are located in Spain, Brazil, Mexico, Peru, Chile and Argentina, and form part of the deal reached with Ariston back in May involving 9 facilities for a total of EUR 550 million. Under the agreement, Telefonica will maintain a long-term housing services deal so that it can maintain its commercial offer to customers hosted on the data centers.
