Captured Green Glass Chain Maille Bracelet

TWO OF MY FAVORITE materials come together in this design: bright aluminum jump rings and Czech pressed glass donuts. I love how effortless working with bright aluminum seems, how brilliant its luster is, and how lightweight the metal is. Put all that together and it makes for a fabulous complement to other brightly colored components ... such as Czech glass beads, which I love for their wide range of colors and finishes. Although they're usually featured in bead weaving projects, these larger 9mm donuts work incredibly well as accents in many chain maille patterns. In this bracelet, the green glass almost appears caged between a silver mesh of x's and o's.
