ALCHEMY ON THE ROAD

The asphalt and concrete our roads are made of are not the most environmentally friendly materials. A pair of designers thinks they have a better idea, and the judges in an international competition agreed. The proposal, called sand.stone.road, by Brooklyn-based designers Thomas Kosbau and Andrew Wetzler of ORE Design, won the grand prize in the Incheon International Design Awards.
