Well Rooted for Conservation

Land use changes from what was once agriculture to residential or commercial developments is a trend that continues unabated throughout the country. Considerable progress has been made by local and regional conservation groups to promote broader ecologically-minded landscape principles. Among these ideas include the use of native trees and plants, adoption of soil and water conservation practices, integrated pest management systems, and plant fertility programs that include recycling green waste, composting, and mulching.
