Forecast International projects that U.S. Department of Defense will spend some $4.51 billion from FY07-16 on research and development of the Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS). In the near future, expect development of software-based networking waveforms to become priority of JTRS program. Look for Test Readiness Review of Multifunction Information Distribution System-Low Volume Terminal JTRS in FY07, as part of JTRS program.
