摘要

A wide range of innovative remediation technologies have been developed and demonstrated in the last 10-15 years, but still only a few are known and available on the market. Most of the potential users of this information and these technologies - such as owners, authorities, policy makers, consultants and vendors -do not have sufficient information about remediation technologies in order to make decisions efficiently. To clarify the role, the opportunities presented by and the application of the physico-chemical, biological, eco-rnlogical technologies and their combinations, we have to understand, characterize and classify them properly. For (natural) remedial technologies to be regarded as 'real technologies', the integration of engineering tools into the practice of remediation is necessary.
