Strength and behavior of concrete filled steel square tubular columns with inner ribs

摘要

This paper presents the results of an experimental work carried out to study the earth- quake resistant properties of concrete filled steel suquare tubular columns under constant vertical and varying cyclic horizontal loads. Main test parameters are presence of inner ribs of steel tube and presence of a vacant space of concrete at the column top. From the test results, the effect of inner ribs on bond stress between steel tube and concrete, and flexural strength of the columns are discussed.
