摘要

A theoretical model was proposed to analyze the pumping characteristics of an air-lift system consisting of an air-water separator and a constant head tank which are connected by a 25.9mm I.D.U-tube as a riser and a water-return tube. In the theory we assumed the flow phenome- non is steady, although this type of natural circulating system presents a significant fluctuation of flow; especially in some flow conditions with reduced pressure, there occurs a self-excited oscillation.
