The paper aims to describe the history of the British joint-stock company Bohemian Breweries Limited, which owned three breweries in Prague in the turtulent period of the late19th century. The second part of the three-part paper analyzes the potential and the risks of the local Bohemian market and introduces the company's director Alexander Wentworth Forbes, who also became the first British consul in Prague.%Předkládaný příspěvek je prostřední částí ířídílného seriálu seznamujícího s londýnskou pivovarnickou společností Bohemian Breweries a její neúspěšnou misí na český trh v turbulentní době konce 19. století.
