摘要

The direct dissolution of UO_2 in TBP-HNO_3 complex by microwave heating in this study suggests the possibility of dissolving spent nuclear fuels. This new technique offers many benefits for reduction in aqueous and organic waste generation and improved efficiency of chemical processing. The dissolution rate of UO_2 particles with TBP-HNO_3 complex by microwave assisted heating is highly dependent on the temperature and the particle size.
