摘要

On the basis of analyzing the chip deformation and forming process, the design method is proposed that the 3-D chip breaker may be separated the two parts of tool-chip contact surface and controlling chip surface by selecting the interface line between the tool and chip as the axis in the second deformation area. After discussing the problem of mathematic model of 3-D complex chip breaker and according to the principle of Coons Curve, the new method of establishing its model is presented and the model has been made. The one kind of the chip breaker of carbide indexable turning inserts has been designed in the application of the model and method made.
