KENTUCKY DISTILLERS'ASSOCIATION BESTOWS GOV. BESHEAR WITH'100 PROOF AWARD'

The Kentucky Distillers'Association has honored Gov. Steve Beshear with its rare "100 Proof Award" for his commitment, dedication and global support of Kentucky's signature Bourbon industry. "We deeply appreciate the Governor's extraordinary efforts over the last few years, from his promotion of our Kentucky Bourbon Trail tour to opening new markets for international trade and seeking relief from our burdensome barrel tax," said KDA President Eric Gregory. The KDA created the award in 2010 to recognize elected officials who demonstrate tremendous support, diligence and initiative in promoting and protecting Kentucky Bourbon. Nominees must receive a unanimous vote of the KDA Board of Directors.
