'Batik Transitions - from Classic to Contemporary'

The Batik Guild was formed in 1986 and is celebrating its twentieth anniversary by putting on a stunning touring exhibition, showing batik from around the world alongside a juried show of work from Batik Guild members, past and present. This is the first time that fine traditional batik and cutting-edge contemporary work have been shown together in the UK. The Guild was lucky enough to receive a generous grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund to help us make this exhibition really special.
