The magnificence of Norwich Cathedral was the setting for the 2014 National Exhibition. The selected exhibition occupied the Hostry, a harmonious modern building, while the nearby Crypt of Norwich School was the setting for other parts of the exhibition. All visitors to the Cathedral pass through the Hostry and most were stopped in their tracks by the varied and colourful display of textiles by members of Guilds nationwide. 124 items were chosen by the selectors, Jason Collingwood, Dot Seddon and Melanie Venes, from over 250 submitted.
