2014 was the first year this event had been held on Clifton and Durdham Downs. A new Woolfair, and in the South West - surely not to be missed! After some discussion it was decided it would be worth hiring a bus to take a group there and back, without the hassle of finding drivers or parking. Thanks to the work of two of our Guild members in spreading the word, Peter Tavy Guild were joined by other spinners and weavers from the area. In the end 21 of us set out on a glorious late summer's day. Well, the Woolfair didn't look that big when we arrived but what a cornucopia of woolly delights! After spending over an hour in the first marquee looking at yarns, fibres, and knitting and crochet accessories, our group decided we'd have to speed up a bit to see everything.
