Under Your Feet: The Contemporary Rug

This was an excellent and impressive exhibition celebrating rugs by 18 British designers and one by a German artist, Gunta Stolzl, who revolutionised the Bauhaus weaving workshop. Some of the rugs were both designed and made entirely by the artist, while others were produced by bespoke rug makers not necessarily in the UK. Ruthin Craft Centre had specifically chosen rugs with ethical production methods.
