The Development of Conception on a House In Drawings Comparison of children's spatial representation with the house model

We asked 31 children (4-8 years old) to draw his/her house and to make one by using the model house kit. The children drew their houses in 3 ways (top plan view, sectional view and disposition). The way of drawing showed the children's concern about their houses. Some children drew the floor plan at the early stage of development and express the concept of a house, which is composed by rooms.
