In the broader context of history of urbanism, Oriana Codispoti's book explores the critical role of urban form in tackling the challenges of sustainable development, analysing, and comparing a wide range of case studies of eco-neighbourhoods built in Europe over the last three decades. Based upon the research stance of reading the built environment at different scales, from the city one to the construction detail, Forma urbana e sostenibilitd lies within the established interest of Italian studies on urban morphology, adding a new critical view to the existing literature.
