Megacities: urban form, governance and sustainability (Soren-sen and Okata, 2011) provides a city-by-city resume of 15 of the world's largest cities grouped into three parts: Asia, Europe and North America, and finally Latin America. The book is of relevance to scholars and students who would value a discursive summary of cities drawing on historical developments and more recent policies and programmes for managing growth. Each chapter relates to a city and each is structured in such a way as to treat the most important themes which emerge in a logical manner.
