摘要

These results confirm that electron transfer is the mechanism for the fast quenching between ruthenium(Ⅱ) and rhodium(Ⅲ) metallointercalators bound to DNA. We may now use this system to delineate those factors which govern the ability of the DNA π-system to serve as a charge transport medium, both for the photoinduced forward and thermal back electron transfer reactions.
