摘要

Mithramycin (1),a clinically used aureolic acid-type anticancer drug and calcium-lowering agent produced by Streptomyces argillaceus as well as various other streptomycetes,consists of a poly-ketide-derived tricyclic core with a pentyl side chain attached in 3-position and five deoxysugars linked as trisaccharide and disac-charide chains in 2- and 6-positions,respectively.
