The paper describes a design and tests of a new diagnostic system, based on the application of Cerenkov- type detectors made of different materials. The use of radiators made of diamond and rutile makes it possible to reduce the electron energy threshold down to 51 keV and 33 keV, respectively. For the selection of absorption filters and calculation of initial energy spectra of the measured electron beams, a simple computer program is used. The paper presents some examples of time-resolved measurements of pulsed electron beams emitted form a PF-type facility, as performed by means of multi-channel Cerenkov-type detector heads. Some limitations of the technique applied are also discussed.
