摘要

The paper presents a coupled method which combines the Boundary Element (BEM) and the Finite Element (FEM) methods. The method under consideration proves to be useful in solving specific open boundary problems as well as boundary problems with moving boundaries. It enables the determination of state variables necessary to define a sequence of controls in the optimal control expert system (OCES). The system has been designed in the form of Windows application. As an environment for the object-oriented programming, the C++ Borland International for Windows compiler has been used.
