Compact Low Voltage High Current 40W SMT DC-DC Converter for High Speed Electronics of Spacecraft

摘要

A low voltage high current SMT DC/DC converter has been designed and developed for the input power requirements of high speed digital electronic circuits of SSR and BDH subsystems. With improvements in the areas of PCB design, component selection and mechanical package design the converter was realized in a compact size and less weight comparable to available imported converters. The experimental results show that the converter is able to provide tight load/line regulation, low ripple/ spikes and better dynamic response for an output voltage as low as 2.5V and output load variation from 0.2A to 8A.
