The 112th SLTC Conference 2009, to be held in Bristol, will begin with a tribute to Stanley Wolstenholme, a former President of the Society, with the Wolstenholme Memorial Lecture. John Gillis, from the National Museum of Dublin, will talk about 'Conserving the Faddon Moor 'bog book'. Found in a bog in Ireland, the thousand-year-old leather-bound Book of Psalms is being painstakingly preserved. About 20 pages long and written in Latin, the book has been dated to between A.D. 800 and 1000.
