Effects of exercise on the fibrinolytic activity in patients with unstable angina pectoris

Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the fibrinolytic response to exercise in pat- ients with unstable angina pectoris(UAP) compared with an age-matched control group. Methods We measured tissure-type plasminogen activator(t-PA) activity and plasminogen activator inhibitor 1(PAI- l) activity before and after treadmill exercise test in 20 healthy subjects and 25 patients with UAP. Conclusion : There existed impaired fibrinolysis in patients with UAP not only at rest But also after exercise loading.
