摘要

Coal supplied to Thermal power Stations comprises of extraneous material like stones, shales, sand, fines, overburden, etc. Which get mixed in the process of mining. It is generally known that to eliminate them completely is not possible. Although many thermal Power Stations have been successful in screening out large size stones and shales from raw coal in the past, there still remains one of the major constituents of coal, i.e., sand or fines and overburden carried over from mines to power stations.
