摘要

Different types of carbon fibres have been used to reinforce the thermoplastic matrix resin poly-phenylenesulfide (PPS). The fibre rovings were impregnated by using an aqueous powder dispersion technique. Experimentally determined and theoretically calculated values are compared to show the influence of different treatments such as annealing and commingling of two different fibre types on the strength behaviour and fibre volume fraction.
