Introduction to air transport economics: From theory to applications

The importance of air transportation is rising rapidly all over the globe not only because of the huge multiplier economic effects of the industry and its vital role in economic development, but also because of its strong reciprocal and symbiotic relationship with another rapidly rising industry, that is, tourism. This book focuses on the analysis of the major economic principles related to the air transportation industry. Economic concepts are analysed and discussed with several practical implications at all levels of the air transportation industry namely micro-level (that is, airline), meso-level (for example, airline alliances) and macro-level (airline industry).
