The effectiveness and efficiency of the regulatory framework is interesting, since many infrastructure industries are regulated. Important questions emerge as to how different regulatory frameworks arose for gas pipelines that have largely similar infrastructures and why US gas pipelines are the only successful example of a competitive infrastructure market based on Coasian bargaining?
