The research on the roast reaction mechanism of bastnasite concentrate mixture with Na_2CO_3 was carried out by means of thermal, X-ray diffraction and chemical analyses. Thee isomorphous substitution, F- + Ce~3+(Pr~3+) →O~2- + Ce~4+(Pr~4+), occurred and isomor- Phous mixed crystal, REO_1 + xF_1-x( 0 < x < 1), grew while roasting concentrate mixed with Na_2CO_3. REO_1+xF_1-x with different compositions were produced under different roasting condi- Tions. It was been found that the lattice constant of REO_1+xF_1-x was a linear function of the con- Tent of fluorine: a_0=0.5499 + 0.00102 c_F-(nm).
