摘要

The results of an extensive upgrade of a backscattering dual circular polarization (DCP) Raman optical activity (ROA) spectrometer are reported. The instrument incorporates recent advances in elecgro-optical technology for the measurement of Raman spectra. The primary improvements are the replacement of a f/4.2 Czerny-Turner spectrograph with an f/1.4 holographic transmission grating spectrograph, the replacement of a front-illuminated CCD detector with a CCE system equipped with a larger, back-thinned array and the substitution of a compen- Sated quartz zeroth-order quarter-wave plate by an intrinsic zeroth-order, polymer quarter-wave plate.
