Levy Reform Package Announced

The deadline for when local authorities will be restricted in their use of pooled s.106 contributions has been put back by 12 months to April 2015, the Government has announced, as it set out its decisions on changes to the Community Infrastructure Levy regime. The news came as the Department for Communities and Local Government ("DCLG") published the outcome of consultation on proposals outlined last April. New regulations will be required to implement the reforms and DCLG said it expects the new regulations to come into effect by the end of January 2014, subject to the Parliamentary timetable.
