I am very much looking forward to my term as editor of JPSSMwith this issue-Volume 29, No. 1. One reason I am pleased to be associated with this Journal involves my affinity for sales research and the faculty who conduct sales-related research. A second reason for my anticipation of the next three years involves trends that appear to be occurring in research related to selling and sales management. If you look at this research in a broad sense and include relationships, partnerships, channel activities, and human psychology, perhaps there has never been a greater opportunity to conduct quality sales-related research. Third, I am further encouraged by the increasing involvement of large numbers of firms and organizations in the sales education area. I know of no other time when so many positive things have been happening in the areas of sales and sales management in academia.
