Iodine as a Very Powerful Catalyst for Three-Component Synthesis of Protected Homoallylie Amines

Iodine catalyzes efficiently the three-component condensation of aldehydes, benzyl carbamate, and allyltri-methylsilane to afford the corresponding protected homo-allylic amines in excellent yields.
