Bridge Design Study

A recent study has shown that collisions between ships and offshore structures can halve, if proper attention is given to a ship's bridge design Det Norske Veritas, the Norwegian classification society, has insisted that a considerable number of collisions between offshore supply vessels and offshore installations could be circumvented, if the vessels were equipped with a bridge design satisfying the nautical safety class notation (NAUT).
