Infrared thermography is the science of acquirement and analysis of thermal information by using non-contact thermal imaging devices. Infrared thermography is a technique that has been used repeatedly as a predictive device for the preservation of electrical installations. It is practically used around the field to assess the state of electrical systems and equipment. This article provides information about issues that call for specific focus during thermal tests of induction motor. These are subsequently presented as errors that could be made in the testing phase and especially the descriptions of the influences of parameters: reflected temperature, as well as the distance from an object and atmospheric temperature, on thermographic measurements that are obtained by a conversion of raw data to digital data by the use of tools Software.
