The family in question: immigrant and ethnic minorities in multicultural Europe

Assuming a central place in European research in multiculturalism, the minority family is an increasingly contentious topic. Grillo's timely and exemplary book provides important theoretical and empirical material for researchers, students and policymakers. The chapter authors include social anthropologists, sociologists and human geographers. Ethnographic approaches and macro-level contextual analyses are used here, and a psychological perspective is conspicuous by its absence.
