Due to the recent significant progress in numerical mathematics and computational technologies, computer simulation of processes and systems of microwave power engineering has been an area of vibrant development and remarkable achievements during the last 10-15 years. It has been made evident that some modern modeling tools do allow one to get valuable and reliable data about the characteristics of the considered system prior to constructing a physical prototype. For many researchers and engineers, modeling has become routine operation in studying processes, developing applications and designing applicators. Successful modeling works have encompassed (a) the use of commercial software in system design, (b) exploitation of available solvers in new combinations or in more general computational schemes, (c) further improvement of modeling techniques towards efficient operations in particular complex scenarios.
