摘要

It is shown that the Jensen model (Jensen et al. 2003; Jensen 2005) is not a fracture mechanics model and that the model is not adequate enough to apply. It is shown and also discussed (van der Put 2013) that the capacity measurements from the original paper are precisely explained by Eq. (1) showing splitting to be determining for the strength. The same applies for the Jensen (2005) data of specimens with sufficient long end distances.
